The Oscillation emanates from the cosmology of Demian Castellanos, a multi-instrumentalist musician and producer with a penchant for fusing droning psychedelia with the dynamics of classic experimental rock music. ‘New Way to Feel’ is the first release by The Oscillation and the second time that we have joined forces with London label Bee and Smoke.
Produced by John Fortis (Razorlight/ Art Brut) the track finds Castellanos joined by drummer Mikey B (from Art Brut) to deliver a strung out spacerock anthem that takes in the driving juggernaut noise of Loop and Spacemen 3, propelled by a swaggering bass line amid squalls of backwards guitar and delay. Beneath this, strong melodic and pop sensibilities draw apparently disparate elements together to make ‘New Way to Feel’ a cross over track accessible to all fans of alternative rock music and classic song-writing.
On the b-side, ‘Waves of Radiation’ is a montage of tones and electronic waves that combine to offer an atmospheric soundscape that pays its respects to the experimentalism of the BBC’s Radiophonic Workshop and the moods of old science fiction films.
"Soaked in a real dirty sixties tranceout sound that recalls the like of silver apples, spiritualized and 13th floor elevators. it's primitive and basic like all good psych music should be. limited and our pick of the week."

"It could well be a lifeline for the next generation of video game junkies. Sees the aforementioned hoards deprived of e-numbers and taken on a long walk in the countryside for a little quiet time and a view that isn’t square." - FACT Magazine
"This is big booted stomp rock in the vein of Six By Seven, Ten Benson and Death In Vegas, and proves you can still shake your arse when the lights are down. Though you're just as likely to end up on your back trying to claw the room back into focus. Excellent."
- 2-4-7 Magazine
"Ever woken up near-drowned in a pool of your own sweat? Ever woken up without really waking up? If you think back to the sound going on in the dream you seemed locked up in at that moment, you’ll realise that it was precisely this record."
- Rock Feedback Magazine
"Fuzzed-up psychedelic rock with a dirty Peter Gunn-ish riff... reminiscent of Loop and Jesus & Mary Chain" - Jumbo Records, Leeds
"Fucking brilliant"
